Sunbury, Pennsylvania - Earl Richard Dobson, 85, peacefully passed the morning of May 15, 2025. He was born May 9, 1940 in Sunbury. He married E. Suzanne Williams in 1960, whom he shared 59 years with until her passing in 2019. They had five children: Rick, Bonnie, Connie (Bill), Steve, and Jill (Kevin). Earl was the proud grandfather of 11 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.
Earl dedicated 30 years to PennDOT before retiring, which he then continued to serve his community by working for the township for several more years.
While many knew Earl for his remarkable archery skills and his passion for hunting, he had a lesser-known talent as a great pinball player in his younger years. As he always said "we will see you in the wash and don't take any wooden nickels".
The joy and love Earl shared throughout his life will live on in all of us. He was kind to everyone and was willing to help anyone in need.
He is proceeded in death by his wife, daughter Bonnie, his parents and four siblings.
