Dorothy Anna (Zimmerman) Passmore, 95, residing at Smith Health Care in Mountain Top, went to be with the Lord on Jan. 22, 2018.

She was born June 17, 1922, a daughter of the late Grover Cleveland and Margaret (Knouse) Zimmerman, of Stonington.

At the age of 12, Dorothy and her eight year old sister, traveled in evangelistic work, in a group called the Zimmerman Sisters. After marriage she and her husband and son traveled extensively as the Passmore Evangelistic Party throughout the U.S. and Canada bringing many to Christ. Her husband was an evangelist and she was a commissioned song evangelist. She was responsible for conducting the youth and children's meetings. Before and after her travels she gave private lessons on piano, accordion, and many more instruments. She was also music supervisor in the public schools.

Dorothy was a member of the Selinsgrove Church of the Nazarene.

She is survived by her only son, the Rev. Archie A. Passmore and his wife the Rev. Penny Dollar, of Sunbury; one granddaughter, Anita Briner and husband, Michael, of Mechanicsburg; two grandsons, Allen Passmore, of Duncan, Okla., and Aric Passmore and his wife, Dianna, of Houston, Texas; four great-grandchildren, Michaela Briner, Ian Briner, Alexandra Passmore, and Ashlyn Passmore.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 57 years, Rev. Alexander A. Passmore, of Snydertown; two brothers, John Zimmerman, of Sunbury, Paul Zimmerman, of Stonington; and one sister, Beatrice Sorrells, of Delaware.

A viewing will be held from 1 to 2 p.m. Friday at the Church of the Nazarene, Selinsgrove, followed by the funeral at 2.

Interment will be in the Northumberland Memorial Park, Stonington.
