Selinsgrove - Donald Morgan, 89, of Selinsgrove, entered into rest on Tuesday, Oct. 7, 2025, at home, surrounded by his family.

He was born Jan. 18, 1936, in Gilberton, a son of the late Arthur T. and Mary (Caufield) Morgan. On June 22, 1959, he married the former Alice Ker, who survives.

Donald was a graduate of Gilberton High School, Bloomsburg State College and Bucknell University, where he obtained his master's degree.

He devoted many years of his life to the Selinsgrove School District, beginning as an English teacher in 1960 at the high school, later becoming assistant principal of the high school, principal of the middle school, and finally, serving as curriculum director for the district until 1993. Donald then worked in the Education Department at Susquehanna University for two years before retiring.

Donald was a former member of Trinity United Methodist Church, Northumberland, and many different education associations.

He enjoyed watching the Phillies, the Eagles, and Penn State Football, cooking, and spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

In addition to his beloved wife of 66 years, he is survived by four children, Elizabeth Morgan, Michele (Michael) Keller, Kevin (Nicole) Morgan, and Nathan Morgan; seven grandchildren, Morgan (Matt) Hockenbrock, Michael (Danielle) Keller, G. Matthew Keller and his fiancé, Mary Patterson, Bradley Freeman, Emma Naugle, Ries Naugle, and Elijah Morgan; five great-grandchildren, Finley, Addison, Emmett, Theodore, and Cooper; one sister, Mary Ellen Overkott; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four brothers, Arthur, Thomas, William, and John; and three sisters, Margaret, Grace, and Joan.

The family would like to thank Donald's devoted caregivers, especially John, Glenna, and Samantha.

A celebration of life will be announced at a later date.
