Dolores M. Coxe Obituary
Sunbury - Dolores M. Coxe, 93, Sunbury, passed away Thursday, June 26, at her home.
She was born Sept. 29, 1931, in Sunbury a daughter of the late Ernest and Anna (Miller) Gearhart. On Feb. 24, 1957, she married Charles T. Coxe, who preceded her in death.
Dolores was a graduate of Sunbury High School.
She was a member of the Catawissa Avenue United Methodist Church, Sunbury.
Dolores was involved with Girl Scouts for over 20 years as a leader, Hemlock Council Representative and Director of Brave Eagle Day Camp.
Reading, sudoku and jig saw puzzles were her passion in later years. She was an avid Penn State fan and a collector of many things.
Most of all she was a devoted mother, and her children were always her first priority.
She is survived by her daughter, Tammy Seyler (Terry); her sons Charles Coxe Jr. (Denise), Chris Coxe and John Coxe (Hope); six grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and one brother Norman Gearhart.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by one grandchild, one great-grandchild and two brothers.
A viewing will be held Wednesday, July 2, at the Blank Funeral Home, 395 State Street, Sunbury from 10 to 11 a.m. where the funeral service will follow at 11 with her daughter Pastor Tammy Seyler officiating.
Burial will follow in Northumberland Memorial Park, Stonington.
