Shamokin Dam, Pennsylvania - Darrell Sexton O'Bryant, 74, of Shamokin Dam, passed away Friday, Aug. 28, 2026, at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.

He was born in York on Nov. 5, 1951, to the late Thomas and Lila (Sexton) O'Bryant, Sr.

On March 7, 1981, in Wilmington, Del., he married Carol Dowd, who survives. He worked at Swinford Bank as a teller.

In addition to his wife, Darrel is survived by a son, Brian O'Bryant, of Georgia; a brother, Thomas "Peter" O'Bryant Jr., of Delaware; and a sister, Wanda "Missy" O'Bryant, of Delaware; a grandson, Dravin O'Bryant; and two granddaughters, Clarissa O'Bryant and Asia O'Bryant. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Visitation will begin Friday, Sept. 4, 2026, at 1 p.m., with a Memorial Service to follow, with Pastor Milton McKinny officiating, at Stayman Park Apartments in the Community Room, 8 Smokehouse Ln, Shamokin Dam, PA 17876.
