Daniel Anthony Koss Obituary

Daniel Anthony Koss, 69, of 628 McClay Street, Lewisburg, passed away on Tuesday, March 27, 2018, at the Williamsport Medical Center.


He was born March 4, 1949, in Ashland, a son of the late Anthony and Adele (Olceski) Koss. On Jan. 8, 1972, in St. John's U.C.C., Shamokin, he married the former Barbara Ann Fox who preceded him in death on Feb. 8, 2016, after 44 years of marriage.


Daniel was a 1967 graduate of Shamokin High School. He served in the Army during the Vietnam War with the 173 Airborne and then did 20 years in the Army Reserves.


He was a plant operator for PPL, first at the Shamokin Dam facility from 1971-2000, then later at Washingtonville from 2000-2013.


Daniel was a member of the American Legion.


He is survived by one son, Daniel C. Koss of Lewisburg; one brother, Anthony Koss of Anaheim, Calif.; one sister, Anita Noll of Shamokin; brother-in-laws, James Fox of New Cumberland, Robert Fox of New Columbia, and William Fox of Williamsport.


A visitation will be held from 1 to 2 p.m. Friday at the Farrow Funeral Directors, Sixth and Chestnut streets, Shamokin, followed by the funeral at 2.


Burial will be in Odd Fellows Cemetery.
