Clarence D. Schreffler, 95, of Dornsife, passed away Friday, Dec. 14, 2018, at Nottingham Village, Northumberland.

Clarence was born Aug. 18, 1923, in Rebuck, a son of the late Stella V. and Daniel C. Schreffler.

He graduated from the Pine Park High School in 1941 and was employed for 50 years as a mechanic and body man at Crissinger Motor Company, Rebuck.

He is survived by his wife Shirley Jean (Snyder) Schreffler. They were married Sept. 18, 1948, and celebrated 70 years of marriage this past September.

Clarence was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Leck Kill. He was a 50 year member of the Herndon F&AM; Lodge 702, the Harrisburg Consistory where he was a 32nd Degree Mason, and life member of both the Herndon Fire Company and the Trevorton East End Rod & Gun Club.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and riding his 4-wheeler. The love of his life was his family, especially his grandson and great-grandson.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons, Stephen W. and his wife Diane of Dornsife, and Kim A., of Rockledge, Fla.; grandson, L. Drew Schreffler and his wife Nicole; 13 month old great-grandson, Keegan Lee Schreffler; three nieces and one nephew.

Clarence was preceded in death by his sister, Pearl Schreffler Kauffman and brother-in-law, Woodrow Kauffman.

A viewing will be held from 9 to 10:50 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 22, at St. John's Lutheran Church, Leck Kill, with the Masonic Lodge conducting their service at 10:50. The funeral service will follow at 11 a.m. with Vicar Jodi Ellis, assisted by the Rev. Rick White.

Interment will follow in St. John's Cemetery.
