Grace Manor, Allison Park, Pa - Charles F. Treas, of Sunbury, PA, passed away peacefully on February 27, 2025, at Grace Manor in Allison Park, PA, at the age of 89.

Born on October 26, 1935, in Sunbury, Charles was a proud U.S. Army veteran who served in the 82nd Airborne Division. He graduated from Sunbury High School and later earned a degree in theology from Christ for the Nations Institute (CFNI). After his military service, he worked for many years with the U.S. Postal Service before retiring.

Charles was a man of deep faith and integrity. In his early years, he was a member of The Gideons International, and throughout his life, he lived by a spirit of service to others. He was always ready to lend a helping hand to friends, family, and neighbors alike. He loved spending time camping in his RV, playing sudoku, and being surrounded by those he loved most.

Charles was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Ruth E. Treas, whom he married on December 13, 1958. He was also preceded by his son, Gerald C. Treas; his parents, William P. Treas and Blanch C. (Mull) Treas; and his siblings, Mary Achenbach, Elizabeth Dauberman, William (Bill) Treas, John (Jack) Treas, Robert (Bob) Treas, Shirley Campbell, Thomas Treas, Sandra Gross, and Linda Kingston.

He is survived by his siblings, Margaret Witmer, Donald Treas, Donna Hetrick, Gary Treas, Michael Treas, Daniel Treas and Larry Treas. He is also survived by his

children, Gregory Treas, Merrilee Kaminski, Melissa Adams, and Jessica Dubosky; as well as cherished grandchildren: Nathan Treas, Nicole Treas, Matthew Kaminski, Megan Rahaim, and seven great grandchildren. He will be remembered always for his mischievous smile, strong work ethic, unwavering faith, and the love he gave so freely to his family and friends.

A military funeral service will be held on May 31 at 11:00 AM at the American Legion, 611 Market Street, Sunbury, PA. A luncheon will follow in the hall.
