Allenwood, PA - Cathy Marie Long, 72, of Allenwood, died Sunday, May 4, 2025, at The Gatehouse, Williamsport.

Born March 13, 1953 in Bellefonte, she was a daughter to the late Boyd D. and Loretta E. (Askey) Lucas.

Cathy has been a dedicated caregiver, who worked over 40 years as a nurse. She spent 14 years at Centre Crest, then an additional 26 1/2 years in the Gibson Rehab Hospital as an RN. She was dearly loved by patients and coworkers alike. Her smile was contagious, and her complaints were few.

She enjoyed playing the piano, singing, and growing flowers.

Cathy is survived by two sisters, Carol (Mike) Hoskins, of Greenville and Mary Lucas, of Drifting, a nephew, Michael Hoskins, Jr. and niece, Carli (Mike) Dinsmore.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her brother, Boyd A. "Sonny" Lucas; niece, Mindy E. Lucas and nephew, Boyd L. Lucas.

Friends and family will be received from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday, May 9, 2025 at the Cronrath-Grenoble Funeral Home, South Second and St. Louis Streets, Lewisburg where the funeral will be held at 1 p.m. with her brother-in-law, the Rev. Michael R. Hoskins, officiating.

Burial will follow in Mazeppa Union Cemetery.
