Riverside - Catherine H. (Pope) Quinton, 70, of Riverside, died at 9:35 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 3, 2019, at the Geisinger Hospice at Maria Hall, Danville.

She was born Jan. 26, 1949, in Sunbury, a daughter of the late Harry and Irene (Kessler) Pope. She was married to Charles L. Quinton who survives. They observed their 49th wedding anniversary on Jan. 24, 2019.

Catherine was a 1970 graduate of Shikellamy High School and also graduated from the former L.P.N. school in Washingtonville. She resided in Riverside since 1971.

She was employed by Geisinger Medical Center, Danville for 19 years as an L.P.N. and last worked for Home Instead Health Care of Williamsport, retiring in 2015.

An active member of St. Peter's United Methodist Church in Riverside, she served on the altar guild and assisted at fund raising activities.

Catherine's hobbies included gardening, especially flowers, painting, arts and crafts, and also enjoyed attending her grandsons sporting events.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by two sons and one daughter-in-law, Chad L. and Rebecca Quinton of Paxinos, and Tracy L. Quinton of Riverside; three grandsons, Lear, Joseph and John Quinton; three sisters and one brother-in-law, Sharon Grimm of Sunbury, Susan and Richard Herbster of Duncannon, and Patricia Pope of Sunbury; three brothers and sisters-in-law, Harry R. and Judy Pope, Gary and Ann Pope, and James and Diana Pope, all of Sunbury; and many of nieces and nephews.

A viewing will be held from 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 13, at Roat-Kriner Funeral Home, 1133 Bloom Road, Danville, and from 9 to 10 a.m. Monday at St. Peter's United Methodist Church, 240 Sunbury Road, Riverside, followed by the funeral at 10, with Pastor Victoria R. Apicella officiating.

Interment will follow in Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Upper Augusta Township.
