Mrs. Carolyn Sue (Cox) Moyer, 63, of Middleburg, died Sunday, Oct. 18, 2020, at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.

She was born in Dade City, Florida on Aug. 21, 1957. She was baptized Oct. 25, 1970, at the First Baptist Church of Zephyrhills, Fla.

Carolyn graduated from Zepyrhills High School (Bulldogs -1975) and University of South Florida (Bulls-1979) with a bachelor of science in criminal justice. She retired from Altria Group (1994-2009) as a Senior Account Manager and prior with Kraft Foods, Inc. (1983-1993) as a customer service representative.

Paul and Carolyn were married July 10, 2010, at Mountain Pisgah State Park, Shade Mountain, Pa. Paul and Carolyn are members of the Tongue of the Learned Church, Oriental, Pa., led by Pastor Jeff and Donna Boyer.

She is survived by the love of her life, husband, Paul; and their family, Dean and Carol (Sabrina and Greg [River], Lexi, Bryson and Dylan), Shannon (Pa.), and Dustin (Ariz.). Sheryl and John (Fla.); James and Mary (Jerimiah)(La.); Benjamin and Heather (Shawn) (La.); Sheri and Richard (Alex, Stacy, Jennifer, Jayson and Ricky) (Fla.); Sharon and Thomas (Ricky, Crissy and Tommy) (Fla.); Carol and James (Md.); James and Sarah (Elizabeth, David and Candace) (Ind.); Julie and Glenn (Jason and Ethan) (Fla.); Dalores (Richard and Thomas) (Fla.); Barbara (Fla.) and her brother Sidney Allen Cox (Shreveport, La.). Her in-laws and many friends.

She was preceded in death are her parents, James Randall Cox (1996) and Daisy Louise Sharon (2003); her brother, James Alfred Cox (1934); her sisters, Ethel Belle Ludwig (1997) and Sara Mae (Cox) Nelson (1970); brothers, James LeRoy Cox (1999), Charles Edward Cox (1957), and Max Sidney Cox (1941); and twins sisters, Louise and Annie (1942) and brother, Randall (1946). Her brother-in-law, Jay Moyer (2012).

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 22, at the Hummel Funeral Home, 574 Hill St., Middleburg. Social distancing and masks are required.
