Carl C. Rauch
Carl C. Rauch, 88, of Elysburg, passed away on Monday, Feb. 10, 2020, at Emmanuel Personal Care Home, Northumberland.
He was born Dec. 2, 1931, in Lock Haven, a son of the late Roy B. and Rose Rauch.

Carl was a 1950 graduate of Lock Haven High School. He joined the Navy in 1951 and served in Korea and Vietnam. He retired from the Navy in 1971 after 20 years of service. After retiring from the military he worked as an optician for 30 years.
He attended Emmanuel Bible Fellowship Church, Sunbury.
Carl liked to spend time with his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and watching football.

He is survived by his wife of 19 years, Ruby K. Rauch; six children and their spouses, Gary and Mary Rauch of West Deptford, N.J., Robert Rauch of Columbia, S.C., Carla and John Phillips of Jacksonville, N.C., Renee and Johnny Hetrick of Millerstown, Tim and Sue Clark of Paxinos, and Shawna and Gary Duncan of Steele, Ala.; 11 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; one brother and two sisters.

He was preceded in death by his first wife of 41 years, Thelma M. Rauch; and two brothers.

A viewing will be held from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 15, at the Jerre Wirt Blank Funeral Home, 395 State St., Sunbury, followed by the funeral at 3.
Interment will be at a later date in the National Military Cemetery in Beaufort, S.C.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Carl's memory to the Fleet Reserve Association Branch 57, 1389 Lehman Avenue, Deptford, NJ 08051, or a charity of their choice.
