Herndon - Betty V. Spotts, 88, of Herndon, passed away on Wednesday, April 8, 2026, at WellSpan Evangelical Hospital, Lewisburg. Betty was the beloved wife of Truman Spotts sharing over 62 years of loving marriage. Born at home in Herndon, on Oct. 23, 1937, she was a daughter of the late Ralph T. and Goldie I. (Kerstetter) Rieger.

Betty was a loving and caring homemaker who always put her family first. She was a faithful member of Zion Stone Valley Church in Dalmatia and volunteered for many years with the 4-H Club. Betty enjoyed gardening and watching hummingbirds, and she was an avid fan of the Phillies, Steelers, and Eagles. Above all, she cherished the time she spent with her family and friends.

Betty will be lovingly remembered by her husband Truman; children, John Spotts and his wife Sherry, Debrah Hennen, and Dennis Spotts; grandchildren, Shannon, Whitney, Megan, Emily, John, Jessica, and Nicholas; eight great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild; sister, Shirley Haak; and brothers, Lewis "Cap" Rieger, and Ralph Rieger Jr. She was predeceased by her sister, Jean Reader, and a brother, Donald Rieger.

A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, April 14, 2026, at 2 p.m. at the Zion Stone Valley Church, 1899 Mountain Rd, Dalmatia, Pa., 17017, where the family will receive relatives and friends from 1 p.m. until the time of service. Burial will follow at the church's cemetery. Arrangements are entrusted to Foust Funeral Home, LLC, Trevorton. A memory tribute may be placed at www.foustcares.com.
