Bettina Fennessy Obituary

Bettina Fennessy, 94, of Nottingham Village, Northumberland, formerly of East Sunbury Street, Shamokin, passed away on Monday, Sept. 24, 2018.

She was born June 18, 1924, in Geltendorf, Germany, a daughter of the late Ludwig and Monica Eder. On Oct. 6, 1948, in Germany, she married Richard William Fennessy who preceded her in death on Feb. 28, 1975.

Bettina was employed in various local sewing factories.

She attended Kingdom Hall, Jehovahs Witnesses, Paxinos.

She is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, William L. and Tina Fennessy of Paxinos; one grandson, Jeffery S. Fennessy; and two great-grandchildren, Katelyn and Deejay Fennessy.

She was preceded in death by one daughter, Doris Blase on Aug. 25, 1998.

A viewing will be held from noon to 1 p.m. Friday at Farrow Funeral Directors, Sixth and Chestnut streets, Shamokin, followed by the funeral at 1, with Wilbert Francola officiating.

Burial will be in Northumberland Memorial Park, Stonington, at a later date.
