Beatrice B. Shue
She was born Nov. 14, 1924, in Ogdensburg, N.Y., a daughter of the late John Edmond and Laura (Lalonde) Bastien. She was married to Romaine J. Shue who preceded her in death.
Beatrice had been employed as a dental assistant at the Utica State Hospital, New York.
She was a member of St. Pius X Catholic Church, Selinsgrove. She had been active in the Selinsgrove Senior Center and with the Christian Classics at Christ Community United Methodist Church, Selinsgrove.
Beatrice enjoyed knitting, sewing and crocheting. Music was a big part of her life, especially playing piano and singing.
She is survived by one daughter, Diane Jay of Beavertown; one son anddaughter-in-law, Daniel and Susan Shue of Batavia, N.Y.; five grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one son-in-law, Leo Jay.
Friends and family are invited to a visitation from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 16, at St. Pius X Catholic Church, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11, with the Rev. Tukura Pius Michael, O.P. as celebrant.
Entombment will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Nov. 18, in Holy Trinity Cemetery, Utica, N.Y.
Contributions to honor Beatrice's memory may be made to St. Pius X Catholic Church, 112 Fairview Drive, Selinsgrove, PA 17870, or Christ Community United Methodist Church, 3939 Park Road, Selinsgrove, PA 17870.
Arrangements are by the V.L. Seebold Funeral Home, 601 N. High St., Selinsgrove.
