Beatrice A. Cooper (Bea) Obituary

Beatrice A. "Bea" Cooper, 79, a resident of Montgomery, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, Sept. 23, 2020, at her residence.


Born Saturday, July 19, 1941, in Milton, Northumberland County, she was a daughter of the late George and Dorothy (Neitz) Younger. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Cooper.


Bea was a 1959 graduate of Montgomery/Clinton High School. She was employed as a secretary by the former Montgomery Mills.


She was a member of Clinton Baptist Church and a social member of Bower-Decker American Legion Post 251, Montgomery where she was also a member of the ladies auxiliary.


Bea is survived by three step-sons, Rusty Cooper, Barry Cooper and Kelly Cooper. She is also survived by five siblings, June Snyder of Montgomery, Fred and wife Rita Younger of Montgomery, Robert and wife Ruth Younger of Watsontown, Sharon Younger of Montgomery, Kathy Munson of Williamsport; and 11 nieces and nephews.


In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by one brother, Richard Younger.


Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 3, at the Clinton Baptist Church, 60 Warren St., Montgomery, PA 17752 with David Jacobs, her pastor, officiating. Those attending should follow CDC guidelines by maintaining social distancing and wearing a mask.


Interment will be in Green Lawn Memorial Park.


In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Clinton Baptist Church.
