Barry B. Beers Obituary

Barry B. Beers, 79, of Mifflinburg, entered into rest Thursday, Sept. 12, 2024, at Geisinger Medical Center.


He was born Aug. 23, 1945, in Lewistown, a son of the late George Henry Beers and Dorothy (Graham) Beers of Mifflintown. On April 15, 1980, he married Donna Beaver, who passed away Aug. 21, 2023.


Barry proudly served in the Navy on the USS WASP.


He worked as a mechanic in the auto industry for many years and retired from the Navy Depot.


Barry was a member of the VFW, American Legion and Loyal Order of Moose, all at various locations.


Barry and Donna loved vacationing in Massachusetts.


Barry is survived by two sons, Tim Beers and Brian Beers; two daughters, Tammy Warner and Brenda Carter; one step-daughter, Brenda Bittner; sisters, Eleanor Gingrich and Dora Solt, along with numerous grandchildren, step-grandchildren, great-grandchildren and step-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.


He was preceded in death by one daughter, Catherine E. Adair (Beers); one brother, Frederick Beers; and one sister, Wynonna Zeiders.


Interment with his wife, Donna, will be in Fort Indiantown Gap Cemetery, Annville.
