Lewisburg, Pennsylvania - Barbara Tamke, 90, of Lewisburg, passed away at her home Saturday, April 26, 2025.


A native of Binghamton, N.Y., she was born Sept. 21, 1934, a daughter of the late Dr. Ralph J and Laurel (Cooke) McMahon. She was married to Richard Ragard for 25 years and then George R F Tamke for 24 years.


She received an associate degree from Harper College.


Barbara was a medical lab technician at the Geisinger Medical Center for more than 38 years.


She was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Lewisburg, enjoyed bridge, golf, traveling, gardening and the Arts at Susquehanna University.


Surviving are two sons, Paul (Sondra) Ragardand Dr. Lawrence Ragard; two daughters, Kathy (Michael) Yeakel and Lisa Ragard; and 7 grandchildren, Paul Jr., Denise, Matthew, Ryan, Gabi, Natalee and Mathew.


Private services will be held at 9 a.m. Saturday, May 31, 20-25 at the Sacred Heart Church, Lewisburg, with burial in the Lewisburg Cemetery.


Donations in Barbara's memory may be made to either the American Cancer Society or to St Jude's Hospital.
