Milton, Pennsylvania - Barbara A. Ritter, 82, of Fairview Ave., Milton passed away on Jan. 17, 2025, at Watsontown Nursing and Rehab Center. Born in Lewisburg on March 22, 1942, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Joyce (Schechterly) Ritter. She was married 61 years to Stanley Ritter.
Barbara was a 1961 graduate of South Williamsport High School and a 1964 graduate of the Geisinger School of Nursing. She worked as a nurse at Evangelical Community Hospital for 30 years, retiring in 1994. Barbara was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Milton. She enjoyed board games, reading, and jigsaw puzzles. She loved her flower gardens and was well known for her plant stand on JPM Road in West Milton for many years. She was an expert seamstress and artist of sewing as well as crafting.
She is survived by her husband, Stanley; two sons, Scott Ritter and wife, Debra, of Millersburg, and Steven Ritter and partner, Diane Warner, of Milton; a daughter, Stacy Boyer and husband, Shane, of Watsontown; a sister, Bonnie Krampe and husband, Rich of Harrisburg; 11 grandchildren, Lydia, Liam, Madison, Payton, Allison, Jonathan, Justin, Erika, Luke, Amy, and Brianna; and 10 great-grandchildren.
Friends and relatives will be received on Friday, Jan. 24, from 10-11 a.m. at Shaw Funeral Home, 400 N. Front St., Milton where funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Dr. Stephen Shirk officiating. Burial will follow at Church Hill Cemetery, Lewisburg.
