Barbara B. Pentz, 77, a resident of Watsontown, formerly of Milton, and Fort Washington, Md., passed away on Thursday, June 27, 2019, in the Evangelical Community Hospital, Lewisburg.

Born Monday, May 25, 1942, in Montgomery, Lycoming County, she was a daughter of the late John R. and Violet M. (Bartlett) Pentz.

Barbara was a 1960 graduate of Montgomery High School. She honorably served her country with the US Army having served in Germay and at the Walter Reed Army Hospital. She was last employed by the Masonite Corp. in Watsontown.

She enjoyed fishing, bowling and, in her younger days, watching and playing softball. She enjoyed family, especially time spent with her nieces and nephews.

Barbara is survived by the following nieces and nephews, Shonny Walter, Machiel Marino, Bobbie Rapaci, Rich Shnyder, Susan Forney, (Max Shnyder, deceased), Lynn Smithburger, Donna Schultz, Gail Walton, Wayne Lore, William Lore, Kelley Belande, Kandy Lore, Charlie Stackhouse, Stephanie Pentz, Patrick Kifalo, Crystal Pentz, Barry Pentz and Perry Pentz. She is also survived by many more great-nieces and great-nephews.

In addition to her parents, Barbara was preceded in death by the following siblings, Brenda Lore, John Pentz, Mary (JoAnn) Shnyder, Delmar Pentz, Myron Pentz, Richard Pentz, Wanda Pentz and Lois Stackhouse.

A celebration of Barbara's life will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 3, at the St. John Lutheran "Brick" Church, 196 Brick Church Road, Montgomery, with Rev. Theodore Cockley officiating.

Interment will be in the church cemetery.
