Selinsgrove - Barbara A. Propst, 82, a resident of Penn Village, Selinsgrove, passed away on Thursday, April 30, at Evangelical Community Hospital, Lewisburg.

Born May 28, 1943, in Sunbury, she was the daughter of the late Brua W. and Ruth M. (Confer) Reed. She was married to Howard Propst, who preceded her in death on Aug. 22, 2005.

Barbara was a graduate of Northumberland High School and was employed as an inspector at Wil-Hold Manufacturing in Sunbury until her retirement.

She was a member of Christ United Methodist Church in Northumberland.

Barbara found joy in music, especially the songs of Patsy Cline, as well as cooking, dancing, and attending races at Selinsgrove Speedway. Above all, she cherished the time she spent with her family.

She is survived by her sons, David Reed (Kelly) and Benjamin Propst (Ashley); her daughter Charity Collins (Paul); grandchildren Alecia, Dana, Chelsea, Paul III, Kaylee; great-grandchildren Reed, Ridge, Lakelyn, Lorlynn, Tanner, Brody, Winston, Addison and Viviann; brothers Charlie, Robert and Jeff Reed; sisters Patricia Ebright, Linda Scott and Kathy Reed.

She was preceded in death by her grandson Cameron Collins, brother Richard Reed, and sister Dorothy Folk.

Services will be private.

Arrangements are by the Joseph W. Epler Funeral Home, 210 King Street, Northumberland.
