Arthur Jerome Clark Obituary

Arthur Jerome Clark, 92, of 252 N. Front St., Sunbury, passed away at 1:20 a.m. Monday, July 30, 2018, at the UPMC Sunbury Hospital.

He was born Oct. 24, 1925, in Shamokin, a son of the late Walter Albert and Frances Mae (Spears) Clark. In March 1948, in Shamokin, he married the former Pauline Paul who survives.

Arthur was a graduate of Coal Township High School.

He had been employed as a paper maker for Simpton Paper Company.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Elizabeth and Robert Chemnitz of Hatfield; two sons, Walter A. Clark of Tunkhannock and A. James Clark of Runnymeade; seven grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and one sister, Shirley Walburn of Shamokin.


He was preceded in death by two sisters, Myra Reitz and Alberta Mowery; and one brother, Walter A. Clark.


A visitation will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday at Farrow Funeral Directors, Sixth and Chestnut streets, Shamokin, followed by the funeral at 11.

Burial will be in Odd Fellows Cemetery.
