Arlo Lenker
Arlo J. "Pup" Lenker, age 87, of Herndon, passed away on Nov. 22, 2024, at the Northern Dauphin Nursing & Rehab Center, Millersburg.
He was born in County Line on April 14, 1937, a son of the late Albert C Lenker and the late Helen (Latsha) Lenker.
Pup was employed as a forklift operator for Weis Markets, Sunbury prior to his retirement.
He was a member of Zion Stone Valley Church, Dalmatia
Pup was a life member of the Herndon Fire Company and a former member of the Pioneer Club of Poe Paddy. He was a founding member of the Mahanoy Vikings Midget Football and a former coach of the Herndon Little League. He was also a former member of the Herndon Borough Council. Pup enjoyed sports, hunting, gardening, and spending time at "The Grove".
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Kim S Lenker, and two sisters Regina Heiliger and Theresa Lenker.
He is survived by his wife Barbara L (Burrell) Lenker, to whom he was married for 67 years.
He is also survived by two sons, Scott C (Renee) Lenker of Dalmatia and Brian D Lenker of Herndon; a daughter, Gail A (Joel) LenkerWetzel of Herndon; five grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; and two nieces.
Visitation will be held on Friday, Nov. 29, 2024 from 10 to 11 a.m. at the James A. Reed Funeral Home, Pillow. Funeral services will follow at 11:00 am with Rev. Curtis Zemencik officiating..
Interment will take place in the Stone Valley Cemetery, Dalmatia.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to Zion Stone Valley Church 1899 Mountain Rd, Dalmatia PA 17017 or to the Alzheimer's Foundation of America, 322 8th Ave, 16th Floor, New York NY 10001.

Plant a tree: How does it work
When your purchase is complete, a post will be made on the tribute wall of the deceased signifying the planting of a memorial tree.
An official certificate recognizing your purchase will be included with your email receipt. You can then forward the email to the family or print it and give it to them personally.
After an order is placed, our forestry partners will plant the tree in the area of greatest need (nearest the funeral home), according to the planting schedule for the year.
Due to seasonal conditions, the tree planting takes place during the spring and summer.

Planting will take place in Spring or Summer of the same year.
June - December
Planting will take place in Spring of the following year.
