Arlen L. Lenker Obituary
Northumberland - Arlen L. Lenker, 86, of 14th Street, Northumberland, passed away, Sunday, May 31, at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.
He was born June 20, 1939, in Sunbury a son of the late Harold I. and Katie V. (Reitz) Lenker. On May 12, 1962, he married the former Gloria J. Lauver who survives.
Arlen was a 1957 graduate of the Sunbury Owls and was drafted in 1962 into the United States Army and proudly served for several years. He was a car inspector for the Railroad working for both Conrail and Norfolk Southern for 30 years prior to retiring.
He enjoyed trains of all sorts, but his greatest joy came from spending time with his family and will always be remembered as a family man.
In addition to his wife of 64 years, he is survived by his daughter Sheri Zeigler; grandchildren Jennie Holloway and her husband Andrew and Justine Zeigler; great-granddaughters Andrea, Lauren and Gabriella.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Kenneth Lenker, and his sister, Berniece Storm.
A viewing will be held Friday, June 5, from 10 to 11 a.m. at the Blank Funeral Home, 395 State Street, Sunbury, where the funeral will be held at 11.
Burial will follow in St. Luke's Cemetery, Sunbury.
