Anita Grace Freeze, 89, of Sunbury, passed away Friday, Oct. 4, 2024, at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.

Born April 1, 1935, in Snow Shoe, she was the daughter of the late Herman and Rachel (Hall) Ball. She married Ronald M. Freeze, who preceded her in death.

She was a member of St. Matthews Episcopal Church.

Anita is survived by five daughters, Roxanne Coxe of Northumberland, Samantha Byerly (Andrew) of Florida, Tessina Ray of Sunbury, April Bates of Florida, and Ronita Freeze; two sons, Joseph Freeze of Florida, and Shane Hays (Debbie) of Northumberland; 12 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

In addition to her parents, Anita was preceded in death by a daughter, Cyndee Trinh; two sons, Ronald Freeze, and Howard Freeze; a grandson, Kristopher Bates; and a sister, Kathleen French.

Visitation will be held from 6 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 10 at St. Mathews Episcopal Church, 32 N. Front St., Sunbury, followed by a memorial service at 7 with Rev. Dina Carter Ishler officiating.

Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, Oct. 11, in Northumberland Memorial Park, Sunbury.

Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date.
