Alpha H. Strohecker, 72, of Hebe, passed away Wednesday, July 18th, at her residence.

Alpha was born in Rough and Ready, Oct. 25, 1945, a daughter of the late Evelyn (Klinger) Stiely and the late Harry Stiely.

She was a 1963 graduate of the former Mahanoy Joint High School.

She was a member of David's United Church of Christ, Hebe.

Alpha's greatest joy was raising and spending time with her family. She also worked with her husband in the family live stock business.

Alpha is survived by her husband Terry G Strohecker, to whom she was married for 53 years; three sons, Randy L. Strohecker and his companion Tiffany of Penns Creek, Michael G Strohecker of Finland, and Chris A Strohecker of Hebe; grandchildren, Amanda, Sean, Samantha, Benjamin, Braxton, Sebastian, Nikolas, Chase, Angus, and Terri; great-grandchildren, Paiton and Hunter; her sister, Esther Jones; six brothers, Shorty, Donnie, Harry, Bobby, Paul, and Ivan; her special daughter-in-law Angie; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by siblings, Perry, Guy, Nancy, Donna, Jerry, Glen, Beverly, Jesse, Jimmy, and an infant brother.

Visitation will be held from 2 to 3 p.m., Friday, at St. Paul's United Church of Christ, Urban, followed by a Celebration of Life service at 3, with Pastor DiAnn Baxley officiating.

Burial will be private in Riverview Memorial Gardens, Halifax.
