Alicia Sara Jean Smith
Alicia Sara Jean Smith, 22, of Middleburg, passed away on Tuesday, Nov. 5, 2019, at the Geisinger Medical Center, Danville, after a three-year battle with health issues.
She was born Dec. 30, 1996, in Lewisburg, a daughter of Douglas S. and Miriam N.M. (Scholl) Smith of Middleburg.

Alicia was a 2015 graduate of Selinsgrove High School.
She had been employed at McDonald's, BJ's, and Dynamic Wings.
She was affiliated with Hummel's United Methodist Church, Middleburg.
Alicia enjoyed doing crafts, cooking, and spending time with her nieces and nephew. She had a special love for her pets.

In additiont to her parents, she is survived by one sister, Kristin Smith; three brothers, Keith Smith and his friend, Erica Hrestak, Zachary and Kristina Smith, and Anthony Smith; grandmother, Gladys Smith; three nieces and one nephew, Ashlynn, Nora, Paisley, and Bennett; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

A viewing will be held from 1 to 3 p.m. Monday, Nov. 11, at Hummel's United Methodist Church, Sassafras Road, Middleburg, followed by the funeral at 3, with Pastor Carvel K. May and her cousin, Lay Pastor Jamie Carpenter, officiating.
Burial will be in the adjoining church cemetery.

Contributions to honor Alicia's memory may be made to Arthur's Pet Pantry, 1020 Fonda Road, Milton, PA 17847, which provides supplemental food and shelter for animals.

Arrangements are by the Hummel Funeral Home, 574 Hill Street, Middleburg.

Alicia was a student in my class at SUN Tech. She was a very thoughtful and creative young lady. Please accept my condolences for everyone that who loves this sweet angel. May you find comfort in the happy memories that Alicia created when she was around.
