William John "Bill" Prichett, 81, of Lewisburg, passed away on Tuesday, July 19, 2016, at the Williamsport Hospital.

He was born in 1935 in Norristown, a son of Elizabeth V. Contra. He married Patricia Ann Young on Oct. 5, 1957, at Sacred Heart Church, New Brunswick, N.J.

Bill went to school at St. Peters High School.

He was employed as a sales representative for Pepsi-Cola until 1969. He owned The Tent restaurant in Lewisburg from 1969 until 1978, and also worked for Pennsylvania House Furniture from 1976 until he retired in 1993.

Bill was an avid fan of the Boston Red Sox and Notre Dame football. He loved to bowl, play softball and golf, and was an active member of the Lewisburg Area High School Booster Club. Bill enjoyed the company of his wife, children, grandchildren and extended family.

Bill is survived by his son, William P. Prichett, and wife Julie A. (Turner), and their children, Johnathan D. and David P. Prichett; daughter, Cathleen C. Hoekman and her husband, Raymon K. Hoekman, and their daughter, Emma Hoekman; daughter, Jacqueline A. Hemdani, partner to Eric J. Rightler, and children, Matthew T. Lindenmuth and Amira A. Hemdani; and son, James R. Prichett.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents, Elizabeth and John Prichett.

A viewing will be held from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday at the John H. Shaw III Funeral Home, 801 Market St., Lewisburg. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday at Sacred Heart of Jesus Roman Catholic Church with Father Bernard Wamayose, A.J., as celebrant. Burial will follow in Lewisburg Cemetery.
