William E. Hause, 68, of 311 Reagan St., Sunbury, passed away on Tuesday, Aug. 16, 2016, at 10:25 a.m. at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.
He was born Sept. 5, 1947, in Sunbury, a son of the late Dale and Ruth (English) Hause. On July 20, 1968, in Shamokin, he married the former Barbara Ryan who preceded him in death on Jan. 10, 2016.
Bill lived in Sunbury all his life and was a 1965 graduate of Sunbury High School. He served in the Marine Corps attaining the rank of lance corporal and was awarded the National Defense Service Medal, the Vietnam Service Medal with one star, and the Vietnam Campaign Medal with one device.
He owned and operated a model train shop where he enjoyed fixing, selling and trading model trains.
He was a member of the Sunbury Veterans of Foreign Wars and the American Legion Post 201.
Bill enjoyed spending time with his family and grandchildren.
He is survived by three children and their spouses, William E. II and Mara Hause, of Williamsport, Scott A. and Jennifer Hause, and Sommer A. Hause, all of Sunbury; four grandchildren, Dylan M. Hause, Connor Hause, Travis Hause and Cameron Hause; one brother, Scott Hause, of Barto; and three sisters, Darlene Snyder, of Herndon, Bonnie Jones, of Lewisburg, and Jeanette Lichter, of Waterloo, N.Y.
Friends and family are invited to a graveside service at 1 p.m. Monday in All Saints Cemetery, Elysburg, with the Rev. Bernard Woniala AJ, officiating.
