William A. Dill, 62, of Susquehanna Trail, Northumberland, passed away at his home on Wednesday, March 15, 2017.
He was born Aug. 8, 1954, in Sunbury, a son of the late Kenneth A. and Anna E. (Wenrick) Dill. On Sept. 17, 1983, he married the former Joan T. Thompson who survives.
Bill was a 1972 graduate of Shikellamy High School and a 1977 graduate of Bloomsburg State College, majoring in history.
Early in his career he was the purchasing agent for the Sunbury Community Hospital. He was recently the warehouse manager at SUMCD Company for 13 years.
He was a member of the American Legion Post 44, Northumberland, and spent many years as a Boy Scout leader in Sunbury.
Bill played the guitar and sang and everyone knew him as a great story teller with a great sense of humor.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by one brother and sister-in-law, Kenneth G. and Karen Dill, of Maryland; one sister and brother-in-law, Kathy A. and Norman Gessner, of Sunbury; and three nieces and one nephew.
Services will be private and at the convenience of the family.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Bill's memory may be made to your local SPCA or the charity of your choice.
