On Thursday, June 22, 2017, Wilbur L. Wolfe Sr., 81, of Selinsgrove, was called to Heaven with family by his side.
Wilbur was born Aug. 1, 1935, to Roy and Esther Wolfe. He was married to Audrey (Clark) Wolfe and recently celebrated 61 years of marriage.
Wilbur graduated from Sunbury High School in 1953. He started working as a bookkeeper at Susquehanna Valley White, worked his way to car sales and eventual ownership of the business.
Wilbur and Audrey spent many winter seasons in Florida where he enjoyed playing golf. He also took joy in attending his children and grandchildren's sporting events. Wilbur was a man of few words but led by example in his kind and gentle ways, and his unwavering faith in the Lord.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons, Randy and his wife Tracey and Wilbur Jr. and his wife Shelly, of Selinsgrove; two daughters, Lisa Lenig and husband Fred, of Selinsgrove and Michelle Atchison and husband Gary, of Colorado; and son-in-law Dr. John Royalty, of Florida. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren, Adam Wolfe and his wife Jill, Mallory Baker and husband Nevin, Jessica Long and husband Nathan, Emily Rector and husband Jordan, Derek and Abigail Wolfe, Tanner, Emma, and Delaney Atchison, and Leah, Lydia, Ellie, and Rayna Royalty; four great-grandchildren; a brother, Glenn Wolfe and his wife Jean; and brother-in-law, Spess Hoffman.
Wilbur was preceded in death by a sister, Violet Hoffman; and his beloved daughter, Angela, who welcomed him with open arms.
Visitation will be held from 3 to 4 p.m. Sunday, July 9, 2017, at Emmanuel Bible Fellowship Church in Sunbury followed by a celebration of life service at 4 p.m. with Dr. Jeffrey Davis officiating.
