Virginia's Story

Virginia A. Reynolds, 62, of Sunbury, passed away on Sunday, May 7, 2017, at her residence.
She was born July 25, 1954, in Sunbury, a daughter of Paul Jr. and Carol (Rathfon) Troup, of Sunbury.

Virginia was the valedictorian of the 1972 graduating class of the Line Mountain High School.
She was employed as a cashier at Wal-Mart.
She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Hummel's Wharf.
Virginia enjoyed flower gardening and feeding the birds.

In addition to her parents, she is survived by her companion of 24 years, Charles Weiser, with whom she made her home; one granddaughter, Ariel Reynolds; two brothers, Paul Troup, of Sunbury and Mark Troup, of Mifflinburg; one sister, Cheryl Troup, of Sunbury; her companion Charles' children, Randy Weiser, Adam Weiser and Wendy Burnes, and their 10 children and five grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one son, George Reynolds Jr.

A viewing will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the Jerre Wirt Blank Funeral Home, 395 State St., Sunbury. A funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday at Calvary Baptist Church, Hummel's Wharf.
Interment will be in the Northumberland Memorial Park, Stonington.

In lieu of flowers, friends are asked to make contributions to the American Cancer Society.
