Tressa I. Troupe, 87, of Cara Street, Beavertown, passed away on Tuesday, May 23, 2017, at Geisinger in Lewistown.
She was born Aug. 19, 1929, in Sunbury, a daughter of the late Marlin and Eva (Hogendobler) Straub. She was married to William Troupe who preceded her in death.
Tressa was a graduate of Sunbury High School.
Early in life, Tressa helped her parents run Summit Park and Rolling Green Park. She worked at Beavertown Weaving Mill for 25 years and then in 1976 she started and ran Tressa's Sub Shop for 27 years, retiring in 2002.
She was a loving and caring mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She loved playing bingo and especially loved spending time with her friends and family. She will be greatly missed by everyone who came in contact with her.
Surviving are two daughters and sons-in-law, Deb and Dave Macknair, of McClure and Diana and Rick Shawver, of Beavertown; grandchildren, Natalie Troup and companion William Ruby, Erik and Jaylene Shawver, Greta and JJ Bishop and Jamie Macknair and fiancé Tim Varner; great-grandchildren, Andrew Bishop, Blaze Goss, Paige Goss, Trevor Bishop, Wyatt Shawver, Rylee Shawver, Gregory Varner and Calvin Varner; and one brother, Johnny Neidig, of Sunbury.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Marlin Straub and Woodrow Bowman.
Friends and family will be received from 11 a.m. to noon Saturday at Christ's Church, Beaver Springs, followed by the funeral at noon, with the Rev. Jim Matthews officiating.
Burial will follow in Grubb's Botschaft Lutheran Church Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Tressa's memory may be made to the M.A.C.C., 67 Elm St., Beaver Springs, PA 17812.
Arrangements are by the Pheasant Funeral Home, 316 W. Market St., Beavertown.
