Thomas G. Sheets Jr., 47, of Main Street, New Columbia, passed away on Wednesday, April 19, 2017, at the Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.
He was born July 23, 1969, in Lewisburg, a son of Thomas G. Sr. and Carol (Hoover) Sheets.
Thomas was a 1987 graduate of Milton High School and he attended Mansfield University.
He was employed by High Steel in Williamsport. Earlier in life he worked for New Columbia Joist.
He was a life member of the White Deer Fire Company and was an EMT with William Cameron Fire Company in Lewisburg. He was a member of Masonic Lodge 256, Milton and a member of the Sinister Kings Motorcycle Club.
Thomas enjoyed hunting, fishing, and riding motorcycles. Tom was a Little League umpire for many years. He loved to go to car shows. Most important was the time Tom spent with his dad, son and grandchildren who he loved dearly.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his fiancée, Lisa Bowersox, of New Columbia; one son, Ryan Sheets, of Milton; one sister and brother-in-law, Lori and Harry Overdorf, of Jersey Shore; two stepchildren, Carissa and Brianne Klembara; one nephew, Jacob Jones; and two stepgrandchildren, Riley and Nathan Walter.
Thomas was preceded in death by two nieces, Kaitlyn and Brooke Jones; and his maternal grandparents, Bud and Mary Hoover.
Friends and relatives will be received on from 5 to 6 p.m. Monday at the Shaw Funeral Home, 400 N. Front St., Milton, where a memorial service will be held at 6, with the Rev. Harry Harter officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Thomas' memroy are requested to St. Jude's Children's Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
