Terry F. Bowersox, 60, of New Columbia, passed away on Monday, June 20, 2016, at the Evangelical Community Hospital, Lewisburg.

He was born Aug. 13, 1955, in Danville, a son of the late Roy W. and Mary (Shambach) Bowersox. On June 6, 1981, he married the former Teresa Ranck who survives. They shared a loving marital union of 35 years.

Terry was a 1973 graduate of Lewisburg High School and the SUN Area Vo Tech. He had served in the PA Army National Guard for eight years and attained the rank of Sargent. While with the Pennsylvania National Guard he was one of the "Governor's Twenty" as a top ten marksman. He had also transported the evacuation plans for Harrisburg during the Three Mile Island Accident to the other PA armories.

He was employed by Con Agra and was a Deputy Pennsylvania Waterways Conservation Officer and Safe Boating Instructor with the PA Fish and Boat Commission. In earlier years he worked for the PA Bureau of Forestry as a forest lookout and a forest fire warden. He also worked for Wagner Sales in Winfield and his brother-in-law's farm in Lewisburg.

He was a life member of the American Legion Post 0957 in New Berlin and the Buffalo Valley Sportsman's Association in Mifflinburg, a member of the Conservation Officers of Pennsylvania Association and the North American Wildlife Conservation Officers Association. He was a former member of the Mazeppa United Methodist Church and had taught Sunday school at the New Columbia Lutheran Church.

Terry enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, spending time with his family, and was an organ donor.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by one daughter, Christy Bowersox, and one son, Clinton Bowersox, both of New Columbia; and two brothers, Guy Bowersox, of Mount Pleasant Mills and Jay Bowersox, of Winfield.

He was preceded in death by two sisters, Fay Criswell and Shirley Kratzer.

Friends and relatives will be received from 10 to 11 a.m. Monday at the Shaw Funeral Home, 400 N. Front St.,Milton, followed by the funeral at 11 with Pastor Butch Woolsey officiating.

Burial will follow in Highland Cemetery, New Columbia.
