Scott F. Snyder, 48, of Watsontown, passed away suddenly on Saturday, July 1, 2017.
He was born Aug. 20, 1968, a son of the former Mary Anne Yohe.
Scott was a 1986 graduate of Warrior Run High School. After high school, he attended Pennsylvania College of Technology.
Scott was an avid sports fan and had played baseball while in high school, coached Legion baseball in Watsontown, high school baseball in Loyalsock and Warrior Run, and coached midget football at Warrior Run. He enjoyed his time spent at the Selinsgrove Speedway and Port Royal Speedway.
He currently was an announcer for Fox Sports, Williamsport, where he broadcasted local baseball games.
Scott enjoyed the annual Coaches versus Cancer benefits. He was a true Philadelphia fan, cheering on the Phillies, Eagles, and Flyers.
He was a member of the American Legion, Watsontown Post 323.
Scott enjoyed spending time with family and friends at the Watsontown Campground (Frey's).
He is survived by his mother and stepfather, Mary Anne and Jack Forry, of Watsontown; two sisters and one brother-in-law, Melissa Simpler, of Watsontown, and Trisha and Mark Luksik, of Moon Township; nieces and nephews, Evan Simpler, Cole Simpler, Addison Luksik, and Riley Luksik; and his father, Frederick Snyder.
Family and friends are invited to call from 10 a.m. to noon Thursday at Brooks Funeral Home, 124 Main St., Watsontown, followed by the funeral at noon. The family would like to extend an invitation to anyone attending the funeral for a celebration of Scott's life at the Watson Inn, beginning at 1 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions in Scott's memory be made to his scholarship fund at First National Bank, Attn: Diana Johnson, 300 Main St., Watsontown, PA 17777.
