Sara "Sally" Bauman, 73, of 243 S. Fourth St., Sunbury, passed away on Thursday, May 18, 2017, at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.
She was born in Sunbury on April 12, 1944, adaughter of the late Charles and Sara (Bucher) Strausser.
Sally graduated from Sunbury High School in 1963. She married David E. Bauman on Sept. 1, 1963.
In addition to being a wife and mother she was employed by Oakes Oil, the Wm. F. Gross Silkmill and Coles Hardware during her career. She was a member of the Susquehanna Valley Church of Christ. She loved to play darts for Goodwills Hose Company, playing games on her computer, camping, fishing and the beach.
Sally is survived by her husband; son, David E. Bauman Jr., of Sunbury; daughter, Trudy and Joseph Dimeglio, of Sunbury; step-granddaughter, Jocelyn Christie; sisters, Charlotte and Roy Kratzer of Selinsgrove, and Debra Campbell, of Sunbury; and many nieces and nephews.
Sally was preceded in death by her parents and sisters, Sandy and Pat.
Friends and family may visit from 10-11 a.m. Monday at the David T. Zweier Funeral Home, Inc., 157 Chestnut St. Sunbury, followed by the funeral service at 11 with Evangelist James McIntyre officiating.
