Ruth I. Hunt, 86, formerly of Beaver Springs, passed away on Saturday, March 4, 2017, at the Richfield Senior Living.
She was born Dec. 8, 1930, in Beaver Springs, a daughter of the late Sherman and Dorothy (Kline) Wagner. She was married for more than 30 years to Clifford E. Hunt who survives.
Ruth attended Beaver Adams School.
She had worked throughout her life as a waitress, teacher's aid, beautician, and home health aide worker.
She was a member of St. John's "Ridge" Lutheran Church, McClure where she had sung in the church choir.
Ruth enjoyed playing the accordion and always looked forward to the Wednesday night jams at the VFW.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by one son, Mark L. Snook and his significant other, Vickey, of McClure; one daughter and son-in-law, Robin and Conrad Lisi, of New Jersey; two stepsons, Clifford Hunt Jr. and wife, Jean, and Keith Hunt and wife, Barbara, all of New Jersey; five grandchildren, Karl Eiker and wife Michelle, David Eiker, Doug Eiker Jr., Kayleigh Moran and Angela Snook; four great-grandchildren; three brothers and two sisters-in-law, Glen and Melvina Wagner, Dale and Stella Wagner, and Bill Wagner; and one sister and brother-in-law, Elda and Bob Morcha.
She was preceded in death by one daughter, Nancy J. Snook; one son, John D. Snook Jr.; one grandson, Sherman Snook; two brothers, Guy and Carl Wagner; and one sister, Virginia Goss.
Friends and family will be received from 1 to 2 p.m. Thursday at St. John's "Ridge" Lutheran Church where the funeral will follow at 2, with the Rev. Dave Pennebaker officiating.
Burial will follow in the adjoining Black Oak Ridge Cemetery.

Arrangements are by the Pheasant Funeral Home, 316 W. Market St., Beavertown.
