Ruth M. Brosius, 93, of Klingerstown, passed away on Thursday, Aug. 24, 2017, at Green Valley Skilled Nursing Center, Pitman.
She was born July 2, 1924, in Hunter Station, a daughter of the late Lydia Alice (Rebuck) and Daniel Oscar Reed. She was married to Leon L. Brosius who preceded her in death on April 13, 2004.
Ruth had worked as a trimmer at the Millersburg Shirt factory and later worked as a packer at the former Quaker State Farms, Klingerstown.
She was a member of St. Michael's Lutheran Church, Klingerstown.
Ruth enjoyed quilting, putting together jigsaw puzzles, word search puzzles, hunting trips to Wyoming, traveling in a RV to various locations, camping. and baby-sitting her grandchildren.
Ruth is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Joyce A. and Kenneth Hain, of Dornsife, and Connie L. and Bradley Williard, of Harrisburg; one brother, Clair Reed, of Dalmatia; four grandchildren, Kelly Klinger and husband Michael, Tammy Bonawitz and her husband Rodney, Brett Williard and Julie Williard; six great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one grandson, Chad K. Hain; two brothers, Paul and Bruce Reed; two sisters, Anna Long and Josephine Stepp; and and infant brother, Guy.
A viewing will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. Michael's Lutheran Church, Klingerstown, followed by the funeral at 11, with the Rev. Jonathan Jenkins officiating.
Interment will follow in St. Michael's Cemetery.
