Rose Young, 49, of Middleburg, passed away unexpectedly on June 13, 2017 at 2:40 p.m. from complications following a hernia surgery.
Her kind heart, gentle loving way, and smile will be missed immensely by all who knew her.
Born March 21, 1968, in Sunbury, Rose was the daughter of Mary Keim and late Neil Swartzlander.
Rose married her husband Kenneth Young Jr., 47, of Middleburg on March 25, 1990. Together they created a beautiful family who Rose devoted her life to.
She leaves behind three children, one son, Chris Young, of Middleburg, daughters, Jessica Young, of Beavertown, and Bridgette Young, of Middleburg; one son-in-law, Jared Morgan, of Beavertown; one grandchild, Rose's pride and joy, Jaiden Morgan, daughter of Jessica and Jared; and her beloved dog who she referred to as her "grandchild" also, Bella.
Rose is also survived by four siblings, Cathy Shingara, of Sunbury, Samuel Swartzlander, of Bloomsburg, Sylvia Long, of Riverside, and Ronald Swartzlander, of Shamokin; and many nieces and nephews.
Rose will always be remembered for her kind soul and loving ways. Her character was truly the definition of what grace is. May we find peace in knowing that when we meet again, it will be in the presence of our loving savior Jesus Christ.
Services will be held at 6 p.m. Friday at God's Missionary Church, 820 Susquehanna Ave., Sunbury. A meal will be held following services at Wolfe's Crossroads, Route 890, Sunbury.
