Robert Warren "Bob" Sprenkle, 71, of Mount Pleasant Mills, entered into his final rest at Manor Care Health Services, Sunbury, on Tuesday, June 6, 2017.
A life-long resident of Snyder County, he was the first child of the late Lena and William Sprenkle Sr.
Bob retired from Wire Rope Works Inc., Sunbury, in 2009, after more than 30 years of service with Paulsen-Wire Rope Corp. and its successors. Before that, he had worked for several family farms. He often said that farming was his favorite occupation.
Bob enjoyed watching NASCAR on TV, and was a dedicated fan of Phillies baseball and Eagles football.
He is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Sherry and Billy Cramer, of Middleburg, and Melissa and Stacey Bowersox, of Dillsburg; two grandchildren, Nathan Bowersox and Bridget Mattern; three great-grandchildren, Stevie, Landon and Ashlyn; five brothers, Anthony, Clarence "Jack", Dennis, Steven, and William Sprenkle Jr.; and three sisters, Kathryn Phillips, Jane Fisher, and Connie Seward; and his good buddy, Chris Tobias.
He was preceded in death by one brother, David Sprenkle.
Services will be private with interment in Fairview Cemetery, Freeburg.
Contributions in Bob's memory may be made to any 4-H Club, of the donor's choosing.
Arrangements are by the Hummel Funeral Home, 574 Hill St., Middleburg.
