Richard C. Diehl, 62, of 420 W. Fox Road, Sunbury, passed away on Tuesday, Nov. 22, 2016, at his residence after an extended illness.
He was born Aug. 5, 1954, in Danville, a son of the late Harold and Alma (Bradley) Diehl. On Oct. 9, 1993, in Shamokin, he married the former Barbara Schminkey who survives.
Richard was a 1973 graduate of West Perry High School.
He was a self-employed contractor and owned Pave It, Inc.
Richard loved his work, NASCAR, going to the casinos in Atlantic City, woodworking, hunting, and making wine.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by three children, Melissa Drumheller, of Sunbury, Nicole Drumheller, of Sunbury, and Gregory Diehl and his wife, Brandy, of Bloomsburg; four grandchildren, Austin Webb, Angelina Bigo, Nasir Charles and Ella Diehl; and one sister, Carol Yoder, of Sunbury.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Frederick Diehl; and one sister, Nancy Diehl.
At Richard's request, there will be no services.
Arrangements are by the Olley-Gotlob Funeral Home, 539 Race St., Sunbury.
