Pauline V. Lahr, 95, of Sunbury, formerly of Trevorton, passed away on Wednesday, June 22, 2016, at the Sunbury Community Health and Rehabilitation Center.
She was born Oct. 16, 1920, in Trevorton, a daughter of the late Cloyd C. and Florence G. (Miller) Crissinger. On Nov. 23, 1939, she married Henry L. Lahr who preceded her in death on Nov. 17, 1979. She was a life long resident of Trevorton.
Pauline was a 1938 graduate of Trevorton High School. She was employed in the local garment industry and was also a homemaker.
She attended the Wayside Mission Church, Dornsife.
Pauline was an avid reader.
She is survived by two daughters and one son-in-law, Marilyn F. Baumert, of Herndon, and Corinne and Earl Rebuck, of Trevorton; eight grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; nine great-great-grandchildren; and one sister, Lois Schankweiler, of Bethlehem.
She was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Beverly Jean Lahr; three sisters, Evelyn Brown, Jean Wooten, and Naomi Crissinger; and one brother, James Crissinger.
A viewing will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday at the Robert G. Foust Jr. Funeral Home, 841 W. Shamokin St., Trevorton, followed by the funeral at 11, with Pastor Mike Reece officiating.
Burial will be in Wayside Mission Cemetery, Dornsife.
