Patti L. Hoover, 67, of 20 Normar Road, Danville, passed away peacefully on Saturday, Dec. 3, 2016, at the Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.
She was born Dec. 29, 1948, in Danville, a daughter of the late Robert C. and Martha J. (Mullen) Hendricks. She is survived by her loving husband of 28 years, Richard H. Hoover whom she married October of 1988.
Patti graduated from Danville Area High School.
She was employed as a bartender at Shaffer's. Patti also worked in the laundry department at Geisinger Medical Center and was the housekeeping supervisor for Grandview Health Homes, Inc., where she retired in 1986.
She was a member of the American Legion Post 40.
Patti loved playing shuffleboard. She also loved to collect dolls and elephants. She adored her beloved calico cat, Callie. Her greatest enjoyment in life was spending time with her family.
In addition to her husband, Patti is survived by one son and two daughters, Michael Houseknecht and fiancé JJ Williams, Tina Buck and her husband Paul,and Penny Houseknecht, all of Danville; three grandchildren whom she adored, Ryan, Patrick, and Makayla; three brothers, Robert Hendricks and wife Candi, of Danville, Walter Hendricks, of Danville, and John Hendricks, of Kulpmont; one sister, Marsha Bingaman and her fiancé William Flowers, of Sunbury; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by one niece, Adair N. McHenry.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a celebration of Patti's life at 4 p.m. Thursday at Visneski Funeral Home Inc., 10 W. Mahoning St., Danville, with the Rev. Edmund Minnich officiating. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 p.m. prior to the service.
