Patricia M. "Trisha" Korinchak, 42, of Sunbury, peacefully passed away into the loving arms of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Friday, Nov. 18, 2016, at her home surrounded by her family and close friends.
She was born June 25, 1974, at Langley Air Force Base in Hampton, Va., a daughter of Linda L. Danley, of Sunbury and Elmer W. Danley, of Northumberland, and stepmother, Debra Danley, of Northumberland. On July 18, 2009, she married Jerome L. Korinchak, M.D., who survives.
Trisha was a graduate of Shikellamy High School.
She was most recently employed at Selinsgrove State Center as a residential service aide, where she cared for and loved her assigned individuals.
She attended Amazing Grace Community Church in Northumberland. She was deeply devoted to her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, and valiantly fought the cancer, never ever complaining, for 2 1/2 years, and remained faithful in His Strength, fully trusting Her Lord to keep her and heal her, even up to the last hour.
Trisha was a loving, devoted wife, daughter, sister, mother and grandmother and will be deeply missed by all of her family and friends. She enjoyed photography, scrap booking and crocheting, making afghans for her family.
In addition to her parents and husband, she is survived by two daughters, Dominique and Tabitha Heckman; three sisters, Stefanie Danley, Amy Drumheller, and Jennifer Bashore; one brother, Elmer Danley Jr.; two stepchildren, Nathan and Ashley Korinchak; and three grandchildren, Scarlet Athena, Caleb Frederick, and Quin Lenox.
She was preceded in death by her infant son, Todd Heckman; paternal grandparents, Earnest and Grace Danley; maternal grandparents, George and Mary Reichner; and one sister, Tammy Sciascia.
Friends will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. today and from 10 to 11 a.m. Wednesday, followed by a worship service celebrating her life at 11 a.m., at the Jerre Wirt Blank Funeral Home, 395 State St., Sunbury, with Pastor Darren Hunt and Pastor John Walters presiding.
Interment will be in the Northumberland Memorial Park, Stonington.
