Olive's Story

Olive E. "Dolly" Trometter, 95, of Sunbury, passed away on Sunday, Feb. 26, 2017, at the Sunbury Health and Rehabilitation Center.
She was born May 20, 1921, in Herndon, a daughter of the late Harry and Ruth (Bogar) Herold. She was married to Arthur W. Trometter who preceded her in 1996.

Olive was employed for more than 30 years by the Sunbury Textile Mill.
She was a member of Seibert Evangelical Congregational Church, Herndon, and a member of the Sunbury Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star. Olive enjoyed doing needlework.

She is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Arthur J. and Sherri Trometter, of Sunbury; four sisters, Evelyn Trometter and Marjorie Hovenstine, both of Millersburg, Harriet Smith, of Lewisburg, and Carol Zimmerman, of Killinger.
She was preceded in death by four brothers, John, Richard, Thomas and Oscar; and three sisters, Jean Walters, Betty Snyder and Sue Schrader.

Friends will be received from 10 to 11 a.m. Wednesday at Seibert Evangelical Church, Herndon, followed by the funeral at 11.
Interment will be in the Herdon Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Olive's memory may be made to Seibert Evangelical Church, Herndon, PA 17830.
Arrangements are by the Jerre Wirt Blank Funeral Home, 395 State St., Sunbury.
