Mary E. Zimmerman, 94, of Selinsgrove, passed away on Monday, Aug. 22, 2016, at the Manor at Penn Village, Selinsgrove.
She was born March 28, 1922, in Beavertown, a daughter of the late Thaddeus L. and Minnie May (Bowersox) Zechman. She was married to Clyde B. Zimmerman who preceded her in death in 1977.
Mary had been employed by the Sunbury Textile Mills.
She was a member of the Selinsgrove American Legion and the Veterans of Foreign Wars auxiliaries.
Mary was active at the senior center where she enjoyed playing bingo and pinochle.
She is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Jacque L. and Ruth Zimmerman, of Selinsgrove; one daughter and son-in-law, Wendy K. and Timothy Crowe, of South Carolina; one sister, Anna Kratzer, of Selinsgrove; one sister-in-law, Violet Zechman; five granchildren; seven great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by one son, John A. Zimmerman; five brothers, Ira, Jacob, James, Paul, and Robert Zechman; and three sisters, Miriam Shambach, Emma Walter, and Beatrice Kleemook.
Graveside services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday in Orchard Hills Cemetery, Shamokin Dam, with Pastor Michael Gaugler officiating.
Services by the V.L. Seebold Funeral Home, 601 N. High St., Selinsgrove.
