Marvin G. Elliott, 80, of Third Street, Watsontown, went to be with his God on Monday, July 17, 2017, at the Watsontown Health and Rehab.
He was born May 27, 1937, in Muncy, a son of the late Gerald L. "Sam" and Dorothy P. (Black) Elliott. On Nov. 10, 1956, he married the former Shirley M. Ketchum and they have celebrated 60 years of marriage.
He was a graduate of Watsontown High School.
He had been employed at Paulson Wirerope Corp., Sunbury for 36 years and later pursued a career in real estate with Century 21 C& K Realty of Milton for 18 years.
Marvin was a "Mr. Fix-it" kind of guy and could fix and install most anything that came his way. He enjoyed NASCAR and football and tinkering in his pool, and could be found many sunny afternoons floating on his raft.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by three children, Deborah Elliott, of Watsontown, Jeff Elliott and his partner Ricardo Dalby, of Tampa, Fla., and Stacy Elliott, of Watsontown; one brother and sister-in-law, Wilbur H. and Carol Elliott, of Watsontown; and several nieces and nephews.
Friends and family are invited to a graveside service at 11 a.m. Thursday in the Watsontown Cemetery, with the Rev. Ryan T. Krauss of Watsontown United Methodist Church, officiating.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions in Marvin's memory be made to the American Cancer Society Central Susquehanna Unit, 57 Reitz Blvd., Suite 102, Lewisburg, PA 17837.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Brooks Funeral Home & Cremation Service, PC, 124 Main St., Watsontown.
