Marqueen Marie "Queenie" Taylor, 64, of Danville, passed away on Monday, May 8, 2017.
She was born May 15, 1952, in Danville, a daughter of the late Nelson Dewald Jr. and Alice Pearl (Starr) Dewald. She was married to Mark Taylor who survives.
Marqueen attended Danville Area High School and was a proud member of the Class of 1970.
She was employed as the bar manager at the East End Fire Company and was very involved in the local community.
She served as the former Senior Regent of the Danville Women of the Moose, was a member of the Elks, East End and Southside Fire Companies, the American Legion Auxiliary, as well as a social member of the VFW.
She loved to take a ride on the weekends with her loving husband, Mark Taylor of Danville, to visit different Elks, Moose, and VFW clubs, where they made a great many friends.
In addition to her husband, Mark, she is survived by two sisters, Beverly and Walter "Dave" Pershing, of Maryland, and Pamela and Richard Keefer, of Bloomsburg; five nieces and their spouses, Kelly and Jason Miller, of West Virginia, Amy and Keith Rainier and Shelly and Norman Rainier, all of Bloomsburg, Randi and Eric Keith, of California, and Amanda and Josh Kelchner, of Danville; six great-nieces; five great-nephews; an uncle, Gerald Dewald; Mark's son, Josh Taylor; and many cousins and friends.
Friends will be received from 10 to 11 a.m. Friday at the Brady Funeral Home, 320 Church St., Danville, followed by the funeral at 11, with the Rev. Edmund Minnich officiating.
Burial will be private.
