Marlene J. (Hollenbach) Reck, 83, passed away suddenly on Wednesday, April 5, 2017, at her home in Trevorton.
Marlene was born June 4, 1933, in Trevorton, a daughter of the late Kermit and Helen (Bridi) Hollenbach. In 1954, she married Clement M. Reck Sr. who passed away in 1991.
A lifelong resident of Trevorton, Marlene was also a lifelong member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church.
Marlene was a registered nurse, starting her career at Geisinger Medical Center in Danville, and was a school nurse for the Line Mountain School District for 30+ years until her retirement.
She was a member of the Trevorton Patsie's, the Trevorton Senior Action Center, and many nursing organizations.
Marlene enjoyed her nursing career, going to the casino, camping, playing cards, knitting, and most of all, her loving family.
She is survived by her daughter, Constance M. Puchrik (David), of Herndon, Va., son, Clement M. Reck Jr. (Amy), of Wilkes-Barre; and her dear son-in-law, John (Budda) Marquette, of Trevorton; grandchildren, Alyssa, John Michael (Janine), and Ann (Doug Daniels) Marquette, Megan (Max) Shingara , Allison (Eric) Fitzpatrick, Joshua Male, David A and Jennifer Puchrik, Jason, Lindsey and Michelle Reck; great- grandchildren, Brooke, Ethan and Dathan Marquette, Arabella, Emmalene and Elias Shingara, Ian and Chelsea Marquette, Ambree and Colt Daniels, and Amaya Stokes; and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by two daughters, Rita M. Marquette and Mary M. Male.
Rest in peace Mom and Nana, you will be missed. A visitation will be held from 9:30 to 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. Patrick's Church, Trevorton, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11, with the Rev. Steven G. Frenier as celebrant.
Burial will be in the parish cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Marlene's memory may be made to St. Patrick's Church, 331 W. Shamokin St., Trevorton, PA 17881.
Arrangements are being handled by Robert G. Foust Jr. Funeral Home, Trevorton.
